Twenty SEVEN.

That's how old I am today. Sounds old. ;)
It's also my sister-in-law Emily's birthday. Happy Birthday Emily!!
Alex took off a half day and we had lunch at the Bears Tooth restaurant, which is in our neighborhood.
Here's a few pics of Conrad and I from today. Notice the new plants? I've been potting plants like crazy. All it took was for me to become a mother, and voila! Plants live! haha. Pre-Conrad I wasn't so good with plants. Now we live in a jungle.

My flowers from Alex... My "gift" was a Thule car rack. In my old age I've become practical. We've needed one for a while and we'll all use it. My compromise was that since Alex isn't a fan of bumper stickers I can sticker the rack. My new favorite sticker I bought for it is a Martin Luther King Jr. quote... "Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."

When it rains it pours.

No, it's not raining here. But man! When it comes to computer issues if it's not one thing it's another lately! That's the reason for the lack of posts.
Nothing much to report here. Alex's 3 day trip out of town last week turned into 6! So he missed Easter at home. The "Easter bunny" got Conrad a pre-packaged basket full of "Go Diego Go" (his FAVORITE cartoon) goodies. Alex also missed our swim date. I don't think he was so disappointed! haha. Luckily I had a babysitter lined up so I still got to go. I've been faithful to the 3 days a week practices and I have improved so much. I'm loving it!
Conrad is doing awesome in speech therapy! I see major improvement there too! He's been putting words with his signs and everything is looking great! We're signing him up for an under 4 kids soccer "team". :) He gets a t-shirt and every Tuesday we run and learn how to kick on a soccer field. I have to play with him, so I'm excited!
Congrats to our friends Chris & Marisa Thomas! They had a baby girl yesterday, Avery Jo!!

Happy St. Patty's Day.

Here's a pic of our 1/8 Irish son (due to my 1/4) modeling Alex's new goggles. Yes, ALEX'S. I bought Alex and I new swedish goggles (mine are yellow! Just like high school, haha...). I have a babysitter lined up, Alex is going to swim practice with me on Saturday morning! I don't think he's as delighted as I am. ;)

Birthday Party.

Today was the joint party for Lucas (Berry) and Ryder (Simpson). Their birthdays are only 2 days apart, makes it easier for the group. Lucas is 4, Ryder is 2 (crazy! I met him when he was just a little peanut!!). It was at the Berry's and they had a big bouncy room set up for they kids!

Spring is here...

...Which means lots of cleaning and lots of playing outside around here. Saturday we went to a friends house, and I made cake for the birthday girl's 30th birthday. Otherwise not much new around here. I've been cooking a lot lately. I made roasted corn and zucchini tacos for lunch. Lucky for me Conrad's a good little eater. I've been keeping up on the swim team and really liking it. I'm trying to get Alex to join. If you talk to him, harass him a little for me. ;)
The cake I made for Christina (aren't I clever?).

Play time!

Conrad and I went to Didlik Park today. It's been in the 40's here, yesterday I pulled out our galoshes and rain coats!

A Day in the Life of Conrad.

This morning I took Conrad to a gymnastics place that has open time for toddlers. They can roam and play in the foam pit, on the trampoline, everything.
Here he is all blissed out in the foam pit.

And finally, dinner. He was so hungry he was alternately using his spoon and shoving in handfuls! ;)

The Iditarod.

Today Alex worked as a Trail Guard for the Iditarod. Conrad and I visited him for a while. We watched the dogs go by and Conrad made friends with the fellow spectators... charmed two cookies out of them. The stinker. After that we checked out the carnival downtown. He went on a few kiddie rides, which he LOVED & had a caramel apple. He had a blast!!
