Leap Day.

Here's Conrad with two of his "favorites". One, is he's always taking off his shirts lately and turning them inside out! Two, he LOVES putting the All Bran on his (soy) yogurt himself. It's so cute! He stands up on his chair, sprinkles it in and eats!

Here's Conrad dressed up as Daddy. He put on Alex's Xtra Tuffs and hat. He's always dressing up!

Tomorrow Alex is working as a Trail Guard at the Iditarod! Our first Great Race! I'm going downtown with Conrad & friends to check out the festivities! I'm sure we'll have tons of pics to post! ;)

I'm on a roll.

Wow, I'm a posting fool lately. :)
Today Conrad and I took a walk to Lyn Ary Park, about 4 blocks away and right on the ocean. It was a beautiful day and we had a ton of fun! We did "the spider" on the swing set and he just laughed and laughed!

A snippet.

Here's Conrad today trying to put a shirt on as pants, so funny!

This one is blurry-but look on Conrad's face is so joyful!

Get me some Suave!

Have any of you seen that Suave commercial, "99% of Mothers say they've let themselves go"? It has that montage of a raggedy looking Mom and in one shot she's wearing an ear flap hat? That's me today! Yikes! ;)
Not much going on around here today. We're making blueberry banana muffins and I have swimming later.
Here's some crazy pics from Conrad and I playing outside today.

Weekend Leftovers.

Here's some pics from the weekend that didn't make he final cut.
This one is funny... Conrad came out of the walk in closet wearing this Halloween Costume.

McHugh Creek & the Turnagain Arm Trail.

We went for a hike today. Other than Alex getting us slightly lost (haha) it was the most fun we've had in a while! It was about 30 degrees today, and not a cloud in the sky!

What a poser!

Look at this kid! Here he is playing outside with Daddy today. It's been in the 30's and 40's lately! Snow is melting...

This one is funny because he saw me coming with the camera and immediately started saying "cheese!".

And here's one more of the greatest kid ever (no, I'm not biased) eating his waffle this morning. He is quirky. He saw me cutting up his waffle into pieces... yelled, and then grabbed MY (uncut) waffle sat down and started eating. If I have not mentioned my love of Costco before, Costco is the bulk organic mecca. I'm in love. We go there to stock up on milk (even soy), bread, ground beef, oatmeal. And it's all organic and in bulk! It's awesome. Since we get a CSA box of organic fruits and veggies, we're pretty much always set on produce. Anyway sometimes Costco has new surprises, like these waffles. 38 ct flax bran! Goes great with our half gallon (yeah...) of organic maple syrup. haha.

Seems like our weekend will be pretty tame. Most of our friends are out of town this weekend, the Berry's are actually in Thailand! Conrad & I went to the gym today and we're all just hanging around. Give us a call! ;) (yes, a hint...)

It's a rough life....

Here's Conrad yesterday afternoon, passed out in a chair. How do kids do that?

No news around here really. Alex made a casserole tonight while I was at swim practice. Taco casserole with black beans and brown rice, all organic. I'm pretty impressed! Conrad and I had a good day, we went to a play group at a rec center. Our usual Thursday Waldorf class was canceled this week. Conman scratched his back tonight, poor guy and he hates band aids. Lucky for us he's easily distracted. Did you know chocolate ice cream (well, actually soy "ice cream"...whatever) cures boo boos? It does, true story. Just ask Conrad. :)

Do you love it or do you love it?

Well Conrad loves it, I love it, Alex says he loves it. Pretty sure though that's man-speak for "if I say I love it you'll stop talking right". :) We received Conrad's new bedspread set today! 95% organic cotton! The colors matched his bedroom perfectly! Courtesy of a Target gift card from the Baird's, and a free shipping special on bedding of course. Shipping to Alaska from Target would be $25! Anyway, it was like Christmas today! Besides the bedspread we also received a box from my parents of clothes for Conrad and a scarf for me from my sister. Thanks everyone!
I had my second swim practice today (it's Tues and Thurs. I may try Sat. too, baby steps). I was in between lanes today. Too fast for one, too slow for the other. So I was put in the lane that was faster than me. Good because I had to push myself, but it was really hard. We did a lot of distance free today. I really had to concentrate on my stroke and forget about speed...
Okay, well here's pics of the new bed set and Conrad too! He's wearing his new dinosaur pj's Dad! ;)
